Candytopia Review!

My school's prom was last Saturday but McCray and I decided we weren't going to go because we didn't enjoy it last year and it wasn't worth wasting the money on a night we weren't going to enjoy again this year. We decided it would be more fun to dress up and go to Candytopia for the night and we ended up having a great time!

What is Candytopia? Candytopia is a temporary interactive art installation made of candy that is currently in Dallas. There are multiple rooms that each have a different theme with lots of Instagram worthy picture opportunities.

 The creator behind Candytopia

I'm going to be honest, I started off the tour with a really negative attitude about Candytopia because the first two rooms where you start the tour are small, cramped, and you don't get to spend more than five minutes in there and I was afraid that whole tour would be like that. But once the tour really got going and we could go through the rooms at our own pace McCray and I enjoyed it a lot more.

There was a room of famous paintings and portraits made 100% out of candy!

There was lots of fun hallways that led to each room including this hall which lit up, a hall that was made out of a bounce house, and an underwater themed hall.
In each room there is a camera set up that will take a photo and send it to your email so you and your group can get a photo together. Make sure you have the Candytopia app downloaded prior to your visit to Candytopia because they use that app to take your pictures. This one was taken in the confetti room and after this we were covered in confetti. It's been a week since we went and we are still finding confetti in McCray's car and my purse!

When you go, make sure you take all the pictures you want to take while you are in each room because once you go onto the next room you aren't allowed to go back to the previous room.

In each room there is a box of candy (like the one in the back of this picture) that is free for you to take so make sure you bring a purse big enough for all the free candy.

Overall, we really enjoyed Candytopia. It takes about an hour to go through the entire Candytopia tour and you have to reserve your time slot ahead of time, there are no walk up appointments. The only problem I had with it was the amount of kids that were there which sounds awful but it's hard to take pictures when there are so many little ones around. So if you are going to go there to take blog/Instagram pictures I would recommend reserving a time slot late in the day. Our time slot was at 4:45 and everyone else in our group had kids.

You finish the tour in a pit of (fake) marshmallows!

Overall, I would totally recommend Candytopia if it is coming to a city near you!

Luv ya!

Finding the Perfect Planner

If you're anything like me you can't live a day without your planner. I don't understand how people remember all of the homework they have for each class! I would literally lose my mind! I have tried out a few different planners to see which one keeps me most organized. Ever since Lilly Pulitzer released their planners for this year everyone has been talking all things planners. Finding the perfect planner is something every organized girl is on the hunt for. Like seriously, when you find one, let me know! The struggle with planner hunting is whether or not to go with cute over functional, like come on, no one has planners as cute as Lilly! Today I am talking about the planners I have tried out over the years in search for the perfect one. Who knows, maybe one of these is perfect for you!
