About Me

Hey everyone! I'm Shilo or Pink Einstein. The name Pink Einstein was created by my dad and it describes who I am perfectly-- a book smart girl (who is a major Albert Einstein fan girl) and is obsessed with anything pink. I started my blog in 2013 for anyone interested in the preppy, classic style and what my *glamorous* life as a teenager is like. Almost six years later and my blog has been the most exciting journey ever! My blog has definitely helped me to become a more confident person and I have learned so much from it. I've met so many sweet bloggers and have had the opportunity to work with the most amazing people and I'm truly blessed with this opportunity!

You probably came here so you could get to know me a little bit better so now that you know a little about my blog lets talk about me. I am an nineteen year old girl livin' it up in the fabulous state of Texas! God is a huge part of my life and I am very active in my church group. Whether it's traveling or fun events, I am always busy with something and love to share about my adventures on the blog. I attend Dallas Baptist University and I am an elementary education major hoping to teach second grade in the future.

When I'm not busy I enjoy drawing and painting and have even had a few of my pieces in a local art gallery. I enjoy photography and wish I had more time for it. I absolutely love to read and my summer nights are spent staying up until two in the morning reading. I also like to spend every spare minute I have with my best friend McCray who has been a huge help with my blog. She brainstorms post ideas with me, takes most of my pictures for me, and isn't afraid to look crazy while doing things for the blog in public.

My style can be described mostly by scallops, stripes, navy and pink, pearls, and anything Lilly Pulitzer. I love the classic style, and love that each clothing item is an investment that is timeless and can be worn for years to come. As much as I love all of those things listed above, I don't think I could put my style in just one category. My style can be all over the place at times and I buy what I like regardless of the category it fits into. I am definitely that girl in school who gets dressed up every day.  As much as I love my Jack Rogers and Lilly Pulitzer it's always good to own a trusty pair of Vans and a concert t shirt or two.

What else should you know about me? I have had quite a few animals over the years including pigs, turtles, a llama, cows, chickens, hermit crabs, fish, dogs, and rabbits who like to make an appearance on the blog every once in a while. I have an older sister, a younger sister, and a younger brother. My favorite colors are pink, navy, and red.

Two Ways to Style Lilly Pulitzer During Winter

As you can probably guess I love Lilly Pulitzer. The bright fun prints are my favorite but they aren't quite suitable for winter. I would wear my Lilly shift dress everyday if I could but when it's 40 degrees outside a shift dress isn't weather appropriate. I came up with two ways to wear your Lilly during winter without freezing or looking out of place in your bright clothes.

Life Lately Vol. 7

It has been an eventful couple of months for me! I have been so busy with school and fun activities with friends I haven't had much time to think about updating the blog. I thought it would be good to share a little life update with you.

Graduation Dress Roundup

For those of us who are seniors, graduation is right around the corner! This year flew by so fast and pretty soon I'll be in college. Today I am sharing ten dresses that are perfect for graduation. Five of the dresses are white dresses for those of you who like white dresses for graduation or who go to a school where a white dress is required and the other five are colorful dresses that I thought would be cute under your graduation gown.

Dressing Room Try On!

McCray and I spent the day Saturday at North Park and had some fun shopping. We tried on a few different things from the Gal Meets Glam collection at Nordstrom and at Lilly Pulitzer. I loved most everything I tried on and had to share in case you wanted to shop the items too!
