About Me

Hey everyone! I'm Shilo or Pink Einstein. The name Pink Einstein was given to me by my dad and it describes who I am perfectly-- I'm book smart, I think Albert Einstein is really cool, and I'm obsessed with anything pink. I started my blog at the end of 2013 but didn't know what to do with it so it pretty much sat untouched for about a year. While recovering from surgery in 2014 I used this as a distraction and relaunched my blog for anyone interested in the preppy, classic style and what my *glamorous* life as a teenager is like. Almost seven years later and my blog has been the most exciting journey ever! My blog has definitely helped me to become a more confident person and I have learned so much from it. I've met so many sweet bloggers and have been able to work with the most amazing people and I'm truly blessed with this opportunity!

You probably came here so you could get to know me better so now that you know a little about my blog lets talk about me. I am an nineteen year old girl livin' it up in the fabulous state of Texas! My faith is a huge part of my life and I am very active in my church group. Whether it's traveling or fun events, I am always busy with something and love to share about my adventures on the blog. I attend Dallas Baptist University and I am a junior studying elementary education. I hope to teach second grade in the future.

My style can be described mostly by scallops, stripes, navy, pink, pearls, and anything with a bright print. I love the classic style and love that each clothing item is an investment that is timeless and can be worn for years to come. As much as I love all of those things, I don't think my style fits one stereotype perfectly. My style can be all over the place at times and I buy what I like regardless of the category it fits into. I am definitely that girl in school who gets dressed up every day, though.  As much as I love my Jack Rogers and Lilly Pulitzer I do think it's always good to own a trusty pair of Vans and a concert t shirt or two.

I split up my time between living in the middle of the city, my college dorm room, and my family's ranchette in the suburbs so my content varies depending on where I am and may feature a miniature cow or two on occasion!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Look Inspired by Lonestar Southern

Putting together outfits has been a struggle recently. I have found myself many mornings standing in my closet just staring at my clothes. The other day I was scrolling through Kate from LonestarSouthern.com 's Instagram feed and saw that she had put together the cutest look with a ruffle sleeve top, jeans, and flats. I had all of those items in my closet so I decided to recreate her look. It was so easy to do and I had never thought of styling these pieces together.

Two Ways to Style Lilly Pulitzer During Winter

As you can probably guess I love Lilly Pulitzer. The bright fun prints are my favorite but they aren't quite suitable for winter. I would wear my Lilly shift dress everyday if I could but when it's 40 degrees outside a shift dress isn't weather appropriate. I came up with two ways to wear your Lilly during winter without freezing or looking out of place in your bright clothes.

Trend Tracking: Western T Shirts

Western and country style has been emerging more within the trendy side of the fashion world recently. Being from Texas, I think it's kind of fun.  Along with bright colored cowboy boots and cow print, you can find many popular fashion influencers wearing western-inspired graphic tees. Today I have rounded up some of my favorites that are all under $40.   YeeHaw T Shirt Wrangler T Shirt //  Cowboy T Shirt //  Cowgirl T Shirt //  Stay Wild T Shirt //  Let's Go Girls T Shirt //  Wild West T Shirt Shilo
