  I've been challenging myself to style old pieces from my closet in new ways rather than buying as many new clothes as I normally would during the summer and I'm having so much fun with it!

 Putting together outfits has been a struggle recently. I have found myself many mornings standing in my closet just staring at my clothes. The other day I was scrolling through Kate from LonestarSouthern.com 's Instagram feed and saw that she had put together the cutest look with a ruffle sleeve top, jeans, and flats. I had all of those items in my closet so I decided to recreate her look. It was so easy to do and I had never thought of styling these pieces together.

Today I'm sharing a little collective clothing haul video and talking about all the new clothing items I have picked up in the past month. 

Exciting news: I got a job! I now work at Francesca's and I absolutely love it. I had never purchased anything at Fran's until I got the job and I'm just now realizing how cute their clothes are. My sister and I did a little bit of summer shopping in there the other day and I picked up these two gorgeous dresses.  Sadly, neither one of these dresses are available for purchase on their website anymore but I would still check in your local boutique, I know ours still has quite a few of both of them in stock. The good news is, new arrivals are 60% off online right now so you can find lots of other exciting items! I fell in love with this dress when it first came to the boutique. I love the straps that tie in a bow, the color palette, and the fun hem. This dress can definitely be worn a ton of different ways. As I have been unpacking my summer wardrobe over the past couple of weeks I realized just how many sundresses I really own. I could probably wear a different one each day for a couple of months! I love a good sundress for the summer and its practically all I wear. They keep you cool and you can look so put together with very little effort. I wanted to share a few of my favorite places to buy sundresses as well as some of the cute dresses currently available from those retailers. 

I love graphic tees but sometimes I get into a rut about how to style them. Of course, there's the typical graphic tee and jeans but that gets old after a while. I have come up with five fun ways to style a graphic tee to help you change up the way you wear them a little bit. 

This little black dress is one of my favorite dresses to throw on for a cute and comfortable look. I purchased it last summer at J Crew so the exact dress is no longer available but I was excited when I found a very similar one on the Aerie website that is still available for you to shop.

White jeans are a must have in your spring and summer wardrobe, in my opinion. They are the perfect way to change up an everyday outfit you would typically wear with blue jeans. Today I am styling five different looks all using white jeans so hopefully you can get a few ideas on how to wear them.

Raise your hand if you're starting to go crazy being stuck in your house! I know I am. I'm also tired of wearing pajamas all day everyday. Today I have put together four outfits that are comfortable but still cuter than your pajamas and are perfect for whatever you're doing while being stuck at home.

Being stuck in my house has given me the perfect time to spend Bible journaling and I actually really like the one I did today.  I never quite know what I should share in these posts besides pictures of my Bible so today I'm sharing the inspiration behind my art, the finished product, and my outfit of the day.

Striped sweaters are my new favorite thing! I think at this point I own four... Every time I see one in the store I have to have it. I can't find the links to any of the sweaters I own so I thought I would round up a few that I found while online shopping that are now on my to-buy list!

Leopard print is back in style and I have found the most perfect leopard print dress!  I found this dress while I was at the mall last week and I knew I had to have it! It's a super soft knit material that will keep you feeling comfortable all day. The dress has an elastic waist band and a cute ruffle at the bottom which give the dress the most perfect shape.  One thing I love about this dress is how many different ways it can be worn. I could definitely see myself wearing this on so many different occasions including sorority events, girls' night, and out to dinner. In the next couple of weeks I will be putting together a style guide for this dress and I can't wait to share it with you! It's time for another Lilly Pulitzer dressing room try on! The After Party Sale is back and I went to Northpark yesterday to shop the in-store Early Access Sale. The January sale definitely isn't as big of a deal as the August sale but there are still a ton of great pieces. My store was limited on items so I only tried on four things but I did get an idea of what type of things will be available in the sale online starting tomorrow. 

So the other day I went to the mall like I actually had money to spend or something and I tried on about half of the H&M store and a few things at some other stores too. Of course I took pictures of everything I tried on because everyone seems to love a good dressing room try on session. I came home with three of the items I tried on but if I could I would have purchased almost all of it.

Around this time last year I shared a blog post about the items I had recently purchased and everyone seemed to love it. I've done a little bit of random shopping this summer to prepare for college, to expand my work wear wardrobe, and have also found a couple of things while out having fun with my friends. I have been too busy to give each look/item their own post so I thought we would bring back My Recent Purchases for round two so I can share these fun items.
