Life as Pink Einstein

  I've been challenging myself to style old pieces from my closet in new ways rather than buying as many new clothes as I normally would during the summer and I'm having so much fun with it!

  Pink Einstein, who's she? I'm back! Hopefully you remember me. Senior year is exhausting and the countdown to graduation is officially on! Our cap and gowns came in week before last, I'm planning my graduation party, and taking senior pictures, it's starting to feel so real!    Enough about me, let's talk about this cute outfit. Denim skirts are very trendy right now. You can find a wide variety of them at different price ranges practically anywhere. Today's outfit is super comfy, affordable, and so cute! I'm sharing two different ways I styled this outfit around a denim skirt that I purchased at Target.

I must say I am having a fabulous first week of senior year! Tonight is our church kickoff to start the new school year and I can not wait! I volunteer before church starts and help serve dinner to students with all of my friends and we always have so much fun!    I picked up this adorable pink parrot peplum top from Belk while back to school shopping and I love everything about it! It is so comfortable, I love the design, and it has a bow detailing on the back which makes the shirt 100x better.

If you're looking to get out of the heat I highly recommend going to see Mama Mia! Here We Go Again. McCray and I went on Saturday and loved it! Going to the movies has been one of our go-to summer activities because it has been too hot to do anything outside. Here is my Mama Mia outfit that helped keep me cool in this heat while still looking cute!

My obsession with gingham is so real! Hopefully you love the gingham trend as much as I do because I feel like this is the 100th time I've shared a gingham look this summer! 

Gingham has quickly become one of my favorite prints (next to stripes of course!) so when I saw this top I knew I had to have it! This fun look is perfect for brunch with friends or a day of shopping.

Tassels are one of my favorite summer trends! I recently shared about some festive  tassel earrings and today I wanted to share about this tassel top that is a must-have for your summer wardrobe! I featured this top in my summer clothing haul video and this my first time actually wearing it and I love it. 

Last year I discovered a holiday that celebrates the fun bright prints of Lilly Pulitzer. June 21, the first day of summer, is National Wear Your Lilly Day! The 'holiday' is a day for all Lilly Lovers to where their favorite Lilly items and celebrate summer! This year I wore this fun dress in the print Kinis in the Keys, isn't it cute? The Fourth of July is right around the corner and this outfit is the perfect comfy and cute outfit for the exciting occasion. 

I am in love with this pink ruffle sleeve top! It is from Target and I purchased it last week. These pixie pants or {petal}pushers were only $7.00 in the clearance section at Old Navy! These pants aren't on their website but I linked a few of my favorite floral Pixie Pants down below and if you shop in store they may still have them in stock. These statement earrings are my new favorite! I purchased them on clearance as well at Charming Charlie for $12! 

Saturday was National Stripes Day, one of the very few fake holidays I'll participate in, mainly because I have an awful obsession with striped clothing. Stripes Day was a good excuse for me to finally wear this gorgeous dress!

Now that I'm officially on spring break I feel like its actually starting to feel like spring. I'm excited to pull out all of my sandals and sundresses! My friends and I love spending the day downtown going in all of the little boutiques and fun shops. This dress is such an easy piece to throw on with pearls and sandals and go. 

Prom season is quickly approaching us and I am so excited! I love getting dressed up for special events and having fun with my friends! Before we can actually get to that part though, we have to find the perfect dress. Today I am sharing some of my tips based off of my shopping experiences that will help you to get the most out of your shopping trip.

High school football is always fun for me, I love to go and support my classmates and friends on Friday nights. My school has an amazing student section that makes games even more fun. Jadelynn Brooke sent me this shirt in my rep box and I love it so much! One thing I really love about it is that it is gray so it can be paired so many different ways. My favorite way to style this shirt is with a pair of comfy jeans and Jack Rogers, Converse, or white Vans. Because it's not a bright color I am able to wear it on spirit days along with the themed items for that game.

My first week of school was about a month ago and I never go around to sharing about it but I did a recap last year and wanted to at least share my outfits this year so here is an OOTW for my first week of junior year! Since my first week was so long ago I don't remember all of the details of each day so those won't be featured in this post like they were last year but if you would like to read my recap from last year click here .

Belk has the best printed shorts next to Lilly Pulitzer. I love these shorts because they are a fraction of the price of Lilly and they have tons of fun prints! Of course as I go to write this post I'm unable to find these shorts on the Belk website, sorry.

Yesterday was my last day of summer and I am officially back at school for the new school year. Here's a few of the things that were my favorite this summer!

The countdown to back to school is on! I look forward to back to school more than I do summer! Today I am giving you six of my back to school wardrobe essentials to kick start your preppy wardrobe for the new school year.

We all know how much I love navy stripes and I have another navy striped OOTD for you today. Please excuse my bright red face in these pictures it was 100 degrees outside and I actually thought I was going to melt before I finished taking these pictures.

I am so happy that I was able to bounce back from surgery so quickly and was able to get out and take outfit pictures today! I am very excited to finally be talking about this dress! When I was back to school shopping for first grade I picked out a Ralph Lauren dress that was pink and green and I was so excited to have it that I planned on wearing it on my first day of school. There was a mix up in the store and for some reason it didn't come home with me and I cried. Finally after ten years a Ralph Lauren dress came home with me and I love it as much now as I did when I was six!
