A Weekend With My Sister Vol. 2

On Friday I realized I had no plans for the weekend so I made a last minute phone call to my little sister Caroline to see if she wanted to come and stay with me. She is DYING to get out of the small town that my family moved to in October. It's right outside DFW and the town is so small there isn't even a Walmart! I planned a few things for us to do that I knew she couldn't do once she was back home. Caroline ended up coming over for just one night but we jam packed those 48 hours with so many fun things and had the best time!

A Weekend With My Sister

This weekend my little sister came to stay at my apartment with me and we had the best time! I planned out our weekend so we had lots of fun things to do while she was here and she really enjoyed it. My sister, Caroline, has never really been to Dallas so she asked if I could take her to some of my favorite spots. We hung out at my apartment and watched movies with my best friend, McCray on Friday night and spent our day in downtown on Saturday.

A Day in DFW: Firehouse Gastro Park

I haven't done a A Day In Dallas post in a long time but I decided it's time to rename it A Day in DFW. I'm in college and my friends and I love to try out new places to eat and shop all across the DFW metro area and I think it would be fun to share the places we find outside of Dallas too.  Today I am sharing about a restaurant in Grand Prairie called Firehouse Gastro Park. My college bestie, Jeanna, just moved back to Dallas for the start of the new school year and I haven't seen her since spring break so we went to dinner here to catch up! I saw this restaurant on a few of my friends' instagrams and I knew we had to try it out.

A Day in Fort Worth

I have been quarantining since the first week of March and just like everyone else I am starting to get tired of being at home. A couple of weeks ago my mom, sister, brother, and I ventured out into Fort Worth for the day. The town we live in is in such a great spot because it's almost equal distance from both Dallas and Fort Worth so it's easy for us to have fun day adventures in DFW.  Fort Worth Zoo My sister had the brilliant idea for us to go to the zoo for the day. I haven't been to the zoo in years and we had a great time. We scheduled our appointment for 9:00 am which is when it opens so the zoo wasn't super crowded and we got to take our time looking at all the animals without being bothered which was nice. I think it's safe to say we all had a really good time! My favorite part of the Fort Worth zoo has to be the white tigers, I think they are so cool! WestBend From the zoo we ventured to WestBend for lunch. We decided on HG SPLY CO as our eating destinatio...

A Day at Texas Tulips

It's officially spring time here in Dallas and I am thriving in this weather! Last week, before we were asked to self quarantine, McCray and I took a day trip to Pilot Point to visit Texas Tulips and had the best time! If you get the opportunity, I highly recommend going with your friends.

Christian Dior from Paris to the World Exhibit

Dior currently has an exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art that has been going on since May and will end at the end of October. I have been dying to go to this exhibit and finally had the opportunity to visit with my college bestie, Jeanna, on Saturday. There are four main rooms or quads as the call them, of stunning pieces by Dior. Each room has at least one television showcasing footage from a runway show or celebrities wearing Dior's designs. There is so much to look at in each room, its absolutely breath taking.

Candytopia Review!

My school's prom was last Saturday but McCray and I decided we weren't going to go because we didn't enjoy it last year and it wasn't worth wasting the money on a night we weren't going to enjoy again this year. We decided it would be more fun to dress up and go to Candytopia for the night and we ended up having a great time!

A Day in Dallas Vol. 3

I had to go to appointments on Thursday so my mom and I had a little fun before I had to go to the hospital. We spent the afternoon in downtown at Klyde Warren Park and took some fun pictures. You can read the other posts here: 1 // 2

Colorado Travel Diary 2018

Last summer my family made a last minute decision to take a trip to Colorado the week before school started and we loved it so much we decided to do it again each summer. So this summer we went back in Colorado for a few days and had a blast! If you want to read about our Colorado trip last year click here .

A Day In Dallas Vol. 2

More doctors appointments means more fun days spent in Dallas! Last week I had to visit my foot doctor again and my mom and I found a cute wall to take pictures in front of, ate at a cute cafe, and I got to try out a very fashionable look haha! If you want to read about the fun things my mom and I did before my last appointment click here .

A Day in Dallas

Doctors appointments are not fun but since my appointments are at such awkward times it means I get to do a little bit of shopping downtown in between appointments. Here are some pictures from one of my fun shopping day!

Junior Prom Recap!

May 12 was prom! McCray and I had so much fun getting ready for prom and taking pictures before it but prom itself wasn't that great.

A Mermaid-Inspired Party!

My little sister turned 11 a couple of weeks ago and I was put in charge of being party planner so I had to come up with activities, decor, and run the party. I thought I would share a little bit of behind the scenes and how I decorated for the mermaid themed party.

Pumpkin Picking with McCray!

A few weeks ago McCray and I were searching the internet for cute pumpkin patches in our area. We were a little upset when the only thing we found were weird pumpkin farms that were too far away. One day at school we heard about a new pumpkin patch in town and it was said to be super cute. We were so excited to go and take cute picture we planned a day and last Saturday we went!

Meet Pudge.

On Saturday my little sister got a pug! She named him Bud which I'm not too fond of but he is adorable so it doesn't really matter! I posted a video of him on my Instagram story (@PinkEinstein) and everyone seemed to love it so I thought I would share some pictures of him! Prepare yourself for the cuteness!!

Colorado Travel Diary

Last week my family decided we wanted to squeeze in one last vacation before we started school on Monday. We packed our bags and left for Colorado on Tuesday afternoon. We have never gone on vacation just the five of us just for fun before and we thought Colorado would be nice because it isn't a million degrees there like it is in Texas.

12 Fun Summer Activities To Do With Kids

I got my license a couple of weeks ago and now it is my job to drive my siblings around while my parents are working. I've come up with a general list of fun places to take kids over the summer for those of you who are in the same boat as I. Keep in mind that my siblings are eight and ten so this list is catered around that age group.

McCray's 16th Birthday Party!

McCray is turning sixteen today and I attended her party a couple of weeks ago. Let me just say that McCray throws the best parties. The whole party looked like something out of a Pinterest post! I always come home from her parties with tons of fun pictures and never have anything bad to say about the event. We had lots of fun at the party and I have tons of fun pictures to share. So here's to you McCray, happy sweet sixteen!

A Day at the Mall!

On Tuesday my friends Sarah, McCray, and I went to the mall and had a ton of fun. I think this is the third blog post I have made about our day but honestly it was so fun and I wanted to share all the details!

Breakfast at the Stock Yards!

I got out of school on May 26 and the next day, my family and I went to the Fort Worth Stock Yards to eat breakfast at this amazing restaurant called H3. They have tons of fun things in the restaurant like saddle bar stools and a buffalo behind hanging out of the wall! It was tons of fun and the breakfast was delicious, I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it but I had three flapjacks that were as big as my face, I ended up sharing with my whole family and we still didn't finish them, and a couple of pieces of bacon.
