First Day Looks: Preppy Style

First days of school will be here sooner than we can imagine and we need to have the perfect first day look right? Well today I am giving you three preppy first day looks to give you some ideas on what to wear!

This first outfit is great if you want to be comfortable yet cute on your first day back. The top is so unique and I can guarantee you will be the only on rocking this top on the first day. The white jeans dress up the outfit a bit while blue jeans would clash with the top. The Kendra Scott earrings and Jack Roger sandals give the outfit the perfect pop of color. For hair, I would do loose curls and braided strands on both sides pulled together in a clip in the back (like the hair in outfit 3).
I am in love with this second outfit! I love the layering of the sweater and the oxford and they are wonderfully paired with some olive green jeans. I would roll the jeans up just above the ankle to show off those perfect oxford shoes. The pearls are an essential for this outfit giving it a girly touch. The bow bracelet is just a cute add on to the outfit. Loose curls would look wonderful with this outfit!

Outfit three is the perfect outfit for those of you who are very girly and love to wear a dress on the first day (me). This Lilly dress is going to make you stand out in the crowd with it's bright fun colors. And for those of you who have a strict dress code like I do, I add in a lace and crochet short sleeve cardigan to cover your shoulders. The Kendra Scott necklace and earrings add to bright color of the outfit and are great accessories. For the hair, I would do loose curls and braids pulled together in the back as shown. For the shoes I chose a pair of pink Jacks which also add to the color but if you want to dial back on the brightness you could pair the outfit with a pair of more neutral Jacks.
Outfit four, like the second outfit involves layering a sweater and an oxford shirt which I love. This outfit though, is paired with some plain jeans and a pair of Jacks giving it a more casual feel. I added a pearl necklace once again to give it a more feminine feel. The bright red purse gives the outfit a bit of color. For this outfit I would go with loose curls.

Outfit five is a very girly, classy look. This loose blue dress will keep you very comfortable yet it is still very classy with the jeweled detailing on the bottom. The theme for this outfit was blue so I paired this dress with Michael Kors structured handbag and theses blue Jack Rogers sandals. If you haven't noticed by now Jack Rogers are one of my essentials for back to school. The pearl earrings fit very well with the elegant feel of the look and I would recommend curls for your hair.

Outfit six is good if you don't have a dress code or you are allowed to wear shorts. This white top is very cute with the black detailing around the collar, sleeves, and bottom of the top. These checked shorts along with the top give this outfit a dressier feel with the bow around the waist and the cut of the shorts. I paired this outfit with a pair of beautiful rose gold flower earrings and a pair of navy and gold bangle bracelets. The Jack Rogers sandals are the perfect pair of shoes for the outfit. For this outfit, I would style my hair in a loosely curled high pony tail.

Let me know which look is your favorite and what style of first day looks you would like for me to do next!

Luv Ya! ❤️

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

Styling a Lilly Pulitzer Skirt

I recently purchased this "vintage' Lilly Pulitzer skirt from a thrift store and it has become one of my favorite spring clothing items. When I posted about this skirt on Instagram everyone went crazy so I thought it would be fun to share a couple of ways I have styled it so far.
