Birthday Recap!

My birthday was back in December and I never got around to posting about it so I guess it's better late than never, right! I split it up into two posts because there are so many pictures. This is my actual birthday post and the next will be about my party.

My mom is obsessed with cute plates and napkins so anytime they're on sale she buys all that the store has. I'm not even joking. So I found these cute plates and napkins in our plate/napkin stash. I got the one that says "hooray! It's your birthday!" and everyone else got the "celebrate" napkins.
A birthday tradition that my family does every year is taking the weirdest party supplies we have and making those the decorations. So I am wearing a tiger stripped boa that was my sister's tiger tail in her school play, a Finding Dory party hat wrapped in scrapbook paper, and birthday girl glasses. My mom is also obsessed with decorating our house so in our Christmas room she found a Christmas banner (which you can see hanging from the window), a Christmas table runner which she draped over my chair at the table, and she used my old curtains as the table cloth (which you can see in the picture featuring the plates and napkins).

One of my favorite drinks are strawberry daiquiris (without alcohol of course) and everyone drank out of these cute mason jars.

Here are some of my presents

For Christmas, I asked for the Marley Lilly scalloped clutch because the last purse I got was a Vera Bradley in middle school and I hated it. So I ended up getting it for my birthday and I was so happy! The zipper is a tassel and there is also a key chain with my monogram on it.
I asked for a new wallet since I will be driving my self places soon and need something to put money in. I am also using a really old Vera Bradley wallet that is way to small to hold money in. I got this hot pink Coach wallet. It's not exactly what I wanted, I'm not the biggest fan of the color but that's okay. It is also the same size as my purse so if I carry my wallet I can't carry anything else in the purse.

Every year since I was in elementary school I have gotten a cookie cake on my actual birthday which is another birthday tradition.
I opened up this gift thinking it was just a Lilly Pulitzer key fob and it had car keys on it!
So I went outside and there was my Kia Sorento sitting in the driveway! My permit also came in the mail the day of my birthday so they wrapped that up too.
I got quite a few more presents which I didn't really want to show but they included a pearl ring, a bath set, a few different clothing items and jewelry.

Luv Ya! ❤

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

Styling a Lilly Pulitzer Skirt

I recently purchased this "vintage' Lilly Pulitzer skirt from a thrift store and it has become one of my favorite spring clothing items. When I posted about this skirt on Instagram everyone went crazy so I thought it would be fun to share a couple of ways I have styled it so far.
