New Balance 574 Shoe Review

If you're new here or just don't pay much attention to my life, hey, I'm Pink Einstein and I have major problems with my feet. Finding a pair of shoes that I can get through the school day in is a hard task. I like cute things and I also feel better mentally when I'm dressed nice and tennis shoes don't really fit into the 'cute things' category. Now, believe it or not, I own more tennis shoes than the average, non athlete does or should but I despise tennis shoes and never wear them. I keep buying all of these different shoes in hopes of finding a pair that I can make it through the day in without being it pain but until now, no luck.

I was out shopping with McCray the other day and we stopped in TJ Maxx because I had heard some rumors on Instagram that they had New Balance shoes on sale for a great price and I needed to check it out. I had been eyeing these shoes for a while but wasn't ready to pay full price for them because I wasn't sure if they would be comfortable and I couldn't decide if they were cute or not. I have decided that they are cute in an ugly kind of way, kind of like my pug. So many people online have been wearing this style of shoe in everyday outfits rather than in a sporty, athletic way and I thought it would be a great way for me to A. please my doctors by wearing tennis shoes more often, B. hopefully be more comfortable, and C. still look cute! When we got to the shoe section I was a little discouraged because we started roaming up and down the shoe aisle and didn't see any of these New Balance shoes. I was starting to think I wasn't going to find a pair just as we started down the last aisle and there was one pair and they were in my size! I tried them on and they were some of the most comfortable tennis shoes I have tried on. I was so happy they fit and were comfy so I started dancing through the store in them, I looked insane!
Now for the real review. You know I'm all about a good deal and I think $39.99 is a steal for these New Balance 574s which are regularly between $74.99-$119.99! I love how comfortable they are, the back and the tongue are cushioned and they are definitely something I can wear all day. Although the arch support (something I need a lot of) isn't the best, I was able to take the New Balance insert out of the shoe and replace it with my custom ones. I love the color combo of the pair that I purchased, the navy and pink go well with so much in my closet and are also my favorite colors so I know I can get a lot of wear out of them. The navy does a good job of hiding dirt (because we all know I'm going to get them dirty sooner or later) and weirdly enough they make your feet look really little. A down side to the shoe which isn't even a big deal is the length of the laces. The laces are so long! I don't understand why but the laces are ridiculously long and they drag the floor if the shoes isn't double knotted. Though, this can be fixed easily by buying shorter laces so it isn't that big of a deal. Overall I love these shoes, I think I found the perfect pair of cute yet comfy tennis shoes at a wonderful price!

What are your favorite everyday shoes? Let me know in the comments!

Luv Ya!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

Styling a Lilly Pulitzer Skirt

I recently purchased this "vintage' Lilly Pulitzer skirt from a thrift store and it has become one of my favorite spring clothing items. When I posted about this skirt on Instagram everyone went crazy so I thought it would be fun to share a couple of ways I have styled it so far.
