Psalm 23 Bible Journal + Church Camp Pictures

Last week I volunteered as a camp counselor for the day camp my church was hosting and had the most amazing time! Our theme for the week was "The Lord is my shepherd" which inspired me to do a bible journal entry.

 Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3     He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
    bringing honor to his name.
4 Even when I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
    protect and comfort me.
5 You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
    My cup overflows with blessings.
6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
    forever.
Along with teaching a bible study group of first and second graders I was also in charge of teaching the craft class. To go along with the shepherd theme we made these adorable sheep out of cups and cotton balls.
Psalms 23 talks all about how the Lord is our shepherd and how He loves, calms, and gives to us.

Here are a couple of camp photos! I had to blur out faces for the safety of those people. The first picture is me, a few of my friends, and a couple of campers on stage doing a cheer during the end of camp pep rally where we ended up winning the cheer off! The other picture is me and a group of volunteers playing tug of war against the campers and we won!
On Instagram I shared that I would be teaching first and second graders this week and how I was a little nervous about it but it turned out to be so much fun! Last year at camp I didn't have much of a role other than keeping up with all of the kids anytime we went somewhere but this year I actually got to teach bible study! I shared my testimony on Wednesday, helped a sweet little girl ask Jesus into her heart, prayed over the group multiple times, and taught a few bible lessons along with teaching the craft class. It was such an amazing week and I can't wait until next year!
One thing that makes me so happy is that I got to have relationships with all of these kids at camp and yesterday morning I had a few of them come up to me before church service and give me a hug and tell me they were happy to see me!

Luv ya!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

Styling a Lilly Pulitzer Skirt

I recently purchased this "vintage' Lilly Pulitzer skirt from a thrift store and it has become one of my favorite spring clothing items. When I posted about this skirt on Instagram everyone went crazy so I thought it would be fun to share a couple of ways I have styled it so far.
