My Recent Purchases

We all know how much I love a good sale and McCray says I get "allll the deals!" Buying name brand clothes can get expensive which is why I like to buy things when they go on sale or from stores such as TJ Maxx. I thought I would share some of my recent sale purchases.

Sail to Sable dress

Sail to Sable is a pretty popular brand and is known for their gorgeous shift dresses but they are also on the pricy side, especially if you are on a high school budget. I have had my eye on their classic summer dresses for quite some time and came across one at TJ Maxx just last week. I really wasn't shopping for myself but I knew I had to try the dress on even if I wasn't going to purchase it. I tried the dress on and immediately fell in love. I spent a few minutes giving myself a mini pep talk about how I needed to take the dress off and go place it back on the rack because I really don't need another dress. So I took the dress off and just out of curiosity I had to take a look at the price tag. bad. idea. This Sail to Sable dress that retails for $238 was on $29.99! I knew I had to get it. This wasn't the first Sail to Sable dress I have seen at TJ Maxx so I would recommend checking your local store for any if it is an item that has been on your wish list.

Navy Ruffled Platform Sandals

I have been on the hunt for cute platforms for months! With the problems I have with my feet I can't wear heels (not even wedges) so I opted for platforms which are the next best thing. Because they are all one height they don't cause foot pain and they can dress up a look while giving me a little bit of height. Everyone has heart eyes for the Steve Madden platform sandals which I think are too cute but because my feet can be so weird with shoes I didn't want to spend a lot of money and not be able to wear them. I tried these cute platforms on in Belk a couple of weeks ago and didn't think they were worth spending $80 on but last week I went back to Belk to return a few things and found that they were on sale for $20 and they are definitely worth $20!

Knit Skirts 1 // 2

I have found myself shopping at Belk more often than not because they always have amazing deals. As I was thumbing through their clearance section I found these two adorable knit skirts. They have shorts built in and I love the fun prints that are on them. I like that they can be styled so many ways and I have a feeling you will get a blog post about it soon. The green and white skirt is on sale for $17.99 and the printed one is $20.25.

Kelly Green Top 1 // 2

Looking at my closet as a whole, there is a good amount of color but if you set the Lilly Pulitzer and Crown and Ivy aside, most of my clothes are navy and pink. I have been trying to add more color and staple pieces to my wardrobe recently so when I came across this kelly green top at Ross I knew it would be perfect to add to my closet. I love that it's simple yet fun at the same time. The color is great for any season and the cute eyelet cut outs on the sleeves can make any outfit look more dressed up. The best part about it is that it was only $9.99 and the quality is amazing. The first top I linked is unfortunately not on sale but it is from Nordstrom and the Nordstrom sale is coming up very soon and this top might go on sale. The second top I linked looks exactly like the first but is half the price.

Have you come across any great deals recently? Let me know in the comments!

Luv ya!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

Spring Break Recap!

My spring break ended Tuesday so I thought I would share a little bit from each day of spring break with you!

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!
