Colorado Travel Diary 2018

Last summer my family made a last minute decision to take a trip to Colorado the week before school started and we loved it so much we decided to do it again each summer. So this summer we went back in Colorado for a few days and had a blast! If you want to read about our Colorado trip last year click here.

Saturday 8/4

We left the house around 11 am and drove to Ardmore Oklahoma where we picked up my step dad who had to go there for a meeting. While we were there we ate at Ten Star Pizza and it was wonderful! I got the recommendation from Brooke of Blissfully Brooke who talked about it in her Ardmore OK post.  Without her post we probably would've ended up at McDonalds for lunch. From there we drove to New Mexico where we stayed the night.

Sunday 8/5

We got up early Sunday and drove about 6 hours to Durango, Colorado. We weren't able to get into our cabin until 4 pm because they had to clean it so we went to Purgatory Ski Resort. We had tons of fun there! We ate at another pizza place where I had mac and cheese and it was fabulous! We only did a couple of things while we were there because we had planned on going to the resort on Monday when there would be less people. We did however go on the chairlift and the scenery was gorgeous!

Monday 8/6

Monday we started the day off with a few hours of fishing. I don't fish so I took pictures of my family and read my book for a little bit. They caught about 8-10 fish that we brought home and cooked up for dinner that night! Everywhere you look there are chipmunks so if you look at the picture of the rock there is a little chipmunk sitting on top of it! They're too cute! Once we were done fishing we went back to the ski resort and did some shopping and rode a few rides. It was tons of fun but I am so sun burnt!

Tuesday 8/7

Our plan for the day was to go to a hot springs bath where you can relax in a hot spring cave and hot tub. We drove two hours to get to the place with the hot springs and they canceled our reservation even though we were 30 minutes early! The people working there were very rude so we ended up leaving. We decided from there that we would start heading home. We were going to leave Wednesday but none of us wanted to drive 16 hours in one day so we drove half of it on Tuesday since our plans for the day were canceled.

My trip to Colorado was so much fun this year!

Luv ya!

My Mom Picks Out My Outfits

I was a little worried letting my mom pick out my outfits because when I was in first grade she picked out my clothes for school everyday and I HATED it because the outfits were awful! But I guess over the past ten years she gotten better at it! lol

Trend Tracking: Cardigans

1  // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8 // 9 Sweater cardigans are a hot item at the moment. They are most popularly worn buttoned up as a shirt but are also often seen paired with a solid turtle neck and layered necklaces. I have rounded up nine cardigans I love, all at different price ranges. One thing I love about this trend is the variety. I have some cardigans, like the ones I linked above that I purchased at boutiques and I have others that were my grandma's. I love to wear cardigans with straight leg jeans and booties or fashion sneakers.  shop this cardigan Shilo
