Life Lately Vol. 5

Hi friends! Hopefully you remember me, it's been a long time since my last post. I thought I would catch you up on what's been going on in my life since I have been kind of MIA lately.

I have been one busy bee lately. With senior year in full swing there has been so much going on from college acceptance letters to purchasing my cap and gown and there has been very little time for the blog.

School:

I recently got two acceptance letters, one from both of the schools I applied to. My University of Mary Hardin Baylor acceptance letter came first and a couple of weeks later I received one from University of North Texas. I was so excited to receive both of these. I put in a couple more applications this week so I can't wait to here back from them.

Recent Purchases:

My Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale purchases came in the mail and I am in love with both pieces! I purchased the Mila Shift Dress in Catty Shack and the Colette Scallop Hem Skirt in Aquadesiac.
After hearing about these loafers from Kelly of Kelly in the City, I knew I had to have them. I purchased these Sperry Seaport Penny Loafers on sale at Nordstrom (sadly, they are no longer on sale) and there is zero break in time. I wore them the day I received them in the mail with no issues! Highly recommend!
Cows:

I took these pictures of my sweet girls and just thought I would share them. The cows are sweeter than even and wait by the fence for me to come love on them each day.

My cows Petey and Catlyn had babies a couple of weeks ago!! We have two precious baby bulls now and they are so adorable! I will share more pictures soon but here are a couple from when they were first born.

Fall Festivities:

We have had so much rain recently, its crazy! The rain is part of the reason for the lack of blog posts. It makes it hard to take pictures when its rainy and muddy.
After the weeks of rain finally stopped I was able to do some fun fall things. My family and I went to the pumpkin patch and found the perfect pumpkins for carving.
My cousin came over to my dad's house and we had a blast carving pumpkins! Shortly after we put them outside the squirrels found them and ate them!
McCray and I had a pumpkin painting picnic in her backyard. We got out all of the painting supplies, listened to Halloween music and painted all day.
I went to the state fair and had a fun day of shopping, eating corn dogs, and riding the ferris wheel.
Last week, McCray and I started our Friday night fun at In N Out. I let McCray drive and she got us lost which was pretty hilarious but after about 45 minutes we found In N Out. We went to our school's football game afterward (which we won!!) and watched a firework show after the game.

Luv ya!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

Spring Break Recap!

My spring break ended Tuesday so I thought I would share a little bit from each day of spring break with you!

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!
