Graduation Party Recap!

Last month McCray and I had a fun graduation party at my house with all of our friends and family to celebrate our high school completion and the exciting things that are ahead of us. I had so much fun planning and decorating for this party, I just had to share about it.

The Photo Booth

McCray and I spent most of the morning before the party setting up this photo booth. I think it turned out adorable but sadly McCray and I didn't really take any pictures together in it. We put up black mesh along the  fence to block the sunlight from coming through the fence and leaving awkward spots on our pictures. We then stapled streamers all along the black mesh and added tissue paper puffs and paper fans to the top of the streamers. We borrowed the pink chair from my mom's office and my mom DIYed the picture frame out of an old, ugly picture frame, spray paint, and fake flowers.

Food & More

The paint on our outside refrigerator was chipping and it didn't look very good so my mom had the idea of covering the fridge with all of my school pictures. It turned out so cute and I think everyone had fun looking at them. McCray's school pictures were in frames so we displayed hers on our food table.

Here's our food set up. For food we ordered a chicken nugget tray from Chick-fil-A and kept them warm in a crock pot. We also ordered two sandwich trays from Subway and along with that we had chips, dip, a veggie tray, and we rented a snow cone machine.

McCray and I love to scrapbook so we had a table where our guests could snap a picture on one of our Polaroids and decorate a page to go in our senior year scrapbooks.

The Pool:

Before the party we filled the pool with tons of cute pool floats. The floats made great props for all of the fun pictures we took.

Luv ya!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

A Look Inspired by Lonestar Southern

Putting together outfits has been a struggle recently. I have found myself many mornings standing in my closet just staring at my clothes. The other day I was scrolling through Kate from LonestarSouthern.com 's Instagram feed and saw that she had put together the cutest look with a ruffle sleeve top, jeans, and flats. I had all of those items in my closet so I decided to recreate her look. It was so easy to do and I had never thought of styling these pieces together.

Abercrombie Winter Sale

I recently discovered how amazing Abercrombie jeans are, just in time for their 50% off sale! I've rounded up a few of my favorite pieces in the sale, along with my new favorite jeans from there.

Trend Tracking: Cardigans

1  // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8 // 9 Sweater cardigans are a hot item at the moment. They are most popularly worn buttoned up as a shirt but are also often seen paired with a solid turtle neck and layered necklaces. I have rounded up nine cardigans I love, all at different price ranges. One thing I love about this trend is the variety. I have some cardigans, like the ones I linked above that I purchased at boutiques and I have others that were my grandma's. I love to wear cardigans with straight leg jeans and booties or fashion sneakers.  shop this cardigan Shilo
