Dior currently has an exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art that has been going on since May and will end at the end of October. I have been dying to go to this exhibit and finally had the opportunity to visit with my college bestie, Jeanna, on Saturday. There are four main rooms or quads as the call them, of stunning pieces by Dior. Each room has at least one television showcasing footage from a runway show or celebrities wearing Dior's designs. There is so much to look at in each room, its absolutely breath taking.
There is a discount on special exhibit tickets for college students if you bring your student ID.
The Entrance/Exit
Room 1
Hall 1
This wall was one of my favorite parts of the exhibit.
This is the mood board created for the dress pictured above. It was so cool to see the thought process that came before creating that beautiful dress.

Display Cases
Beading swatches were displayed in cases in the hallway between quads. These two beaded pieces are from around 1950, they aren't exactly sure what year.
Room 2
My favorite part of the rainbow exhibit!
This room was called the black room. When you walk in it's dark and the walls are black but displayed along the walls are amazing fashion photography pieces that were in advertisements and magazines. Sadly, we weren't allowed to take pictures of any of the photographs but they were beautiful. Behind a dividing wall, in the back of the black room was this rainbow exhibit (the only part of the room that we were allowed to take pictures in) and it was so pretty!Hall

The Dior exhibit is stunning and I highly recommend visiting if you're in Dallas before October 27.
