Life Lately Vol. 7

It has been an eventful couple of months for me! I have been so busy with school and fun activities with friends I haven't had much time to think about updating the blog. I thought it would be good to share a little life update with you.

October:

I decided it was time for a chop and I cut a few inches off my hair! I'm still trying to figure out how to style it but I love it.

McCray and I spent the day at the State Fair of Texas and had so much fun taking pictures and eating good food.

My family and I went to the pumpkin patch and had fun picking out pumpkins to carve.

My step dad, James, celebrated his 50th birthday this month and the whole family came and stayed with us for the weekend. Jeanna came home with me for the weekend to come to the party too and we had a great time!
I went to lunch with my friend Lane in our school cafeteria on Halloween and we found a happy surprise when we got there. They had a Halloween cookie decorating station set up for us!

We have a pumpkin farm in our town that is open to the public each fall to take fun pictures, play games, and purchase pumpkins. My little sister and I took a girls day and went to the pumpkin farm and had fun in the corn maze, eating fun snacks, and taking pictures.

For Halloween I hadn't planned on doing anything because I had to work but my best friend Jeanna and I were able to attend our school's Halloween party that night and had the best time! I dressed up as a Pink Lady from Grease and Jeanna was Beetle Juice.

November:

McCray and I have been counting down the days until the Twenty One Pilots concert and it was amazing! We had to bring home all the outfit options from college and spent hours figuring out what to wear, dancing around the bathroom as we got ready, and eating Chick-fil-A of course!

McCray bought us tickets to go see Twenty One Pilots in concert at the new Dickie's Arena in Fort Worth and I don't think we have ever danced so much in our lives. We've been to a lot of concerts together but I definitely think this one was my favorite so far. Misterwives opened for Twenty One Pilots and they were my favorite band in middle school so I definitely turned back into my 12 year old self for a little while and had a blast.

I thought I would share this picture of Pudge since he hasn't made a blog appearance in a while. My mom brought in all of her outdoor pillows before a storm the other day and put them on the floor near the front door so Pudge decided to make a bed out of them. He is definitely a dog of leisure haha

I haven't been feeling the best recently so I haven't really been eating much but Jeanna took me to the best chicken fried steak place and I cleared my plate in under 10 minutes!!

Last weekend Jeanna and I decided to get away from campus for the weekend and drive out to her lake house for a couple of days. We took the long (or fun) way there so we could stop at all the cute boutiques and shops along the way. It was so relaxing to have the weekend to ourselves with no agenda except for to have fun. She took me to all of her favorite stores in the area and showed me her favorite place to get chicken fried steak too!

Fiction Coffee in downtown Dallas is having their annual Deck the Hall Street Christmas pop up shop right now. Jeanna picked me up after class on Tuesday and took us Fiction Coffee and its so cute! Your drink comes in a Christmas mug and the whole coffee shop is decorated for Christmas. I highly recommend going if you live in Dallas!

Trend Tracking: Western T Shirts

Western and country style has been emerging more within the trendy side of the fashion world recently. Being from Texas, I think it's kind of fun.  Along with bright colored cowboy boots and cow print, you can find many popular fashion influencers wearing western-inspired graphic tees. Today I have rounded up some of my favorites that are all under $40.   YeeHaw T Shirt Wrangler T Shirt //  Cowboy T Shirt //  Cowgirl T Shirt //  Stay Wild T Shirt //  Let's Go Girls T Shirt //  Wild West T Shirt Shilo

A Day In DFW: Texas Tulips

Just north of Dallas lays the prettiest field of tulips, which makes for a perfect day trip activity for you and your friends. Texas Tulips is located in Pilot Point and is a place I look forward to visiting when they open each year.
