My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

When You Arrive

If your reservation is before 8pm, valet is free which is great because the parking on Ross Ave is a bit limited. The valet is next to the XO Garden which is not the main entrance (this was a little confusing for us) so walk past the garden to the pink doors to enter the dining room. I would recommend stopping in the garden walk way for cute pictures though!

The Dining Room

When you walk into the restaurant, there is this LED XO wall that is great for pictures! I would recommend using the flash so your pictures turn out better than ours lol

I was a little hesitant about being at a small table located in the middle of the restaurant (opposed to a booth) but like I said, the whole restaurant is so cute that all of our pictures still turned out great!
The big pink booths are reserved for party sizes of 5-7 and mine was unfortunately downsized to four people at the last minute but I did sneak over to one of the empty booths to press the champagne button while we were waiting on our food!

The Food

Let's start with dessert- I requested a cupcake ferris wheel and when it was brought out, the DJ played a birthday song, and the waitress brought a champagne glass with sparklers in it too! These were by far the best cupcakes I have had in a while, I was pleasantly surprised.

The food was overall fantastic! McCray and I had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes which were so good. And the portion sizes were great too. I don't think any of us had complaints about the food.

Their drink menu includes lots of fun drinks to choose from. I liked that they also had non-alcoholic drinks so that my friends could also get something fun.

The Garden

It was freezing outside but we couldn't resist stopping in the XO Garden for some more cute pictures before heading home.

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

Styling a Lilly Pulitzer Skirt

I recently purchased this "vintage' Lilly Pulitzer skirt from a thrift store and it has become one of my favorite spring clothing items. When I posted about this skirt on Instagram everyone went crazy so I thought it would be fun to share a couple of ways I have styled it so far.
