A Day in Fort Worth

I have been quarantining since the first week of March and just like everyone else I am starting to get tired of being at home. A couple of weeks ago my mom, sister, brother, and I ventured out into Fort Worth for the day. The town we live in is in such a great spot because it's almost equal distance from both Dallas and Fort Worth so it's easy for us to have fun day adventures in DFW.

Fort Worth Zoo

My sister had the brilliant idea for us to go to the zoo for the day. I haven't been to the zoo in years and we had a great time. We scheduled our appointment for 9:00 am which is when it opens so the zoo wasn't super crowded and we got to take our time looking at all the animals without being bothered which was nice. I think it's safe to say we all had a really good time! My favorite part of the Fort Worth zoo has to be the white tigers, I think they are so cool!

WestBend

From the zoo we ventured to WestBend for lunch. We decided on HG SPLY CO as our eating destination and it was great! I got the cauliflower fried rice bowl with grilled chicken and we got a few different appetizers and fun drinks to try out and everything was amazing. Since we are still in quarantine we had to sit outside which we weren't too excited about at first because we had just come from the zoo and were all super hot but once we got to our table it was so nice. The patio is situated over the river and the patio was actually pretty cool so we weren't sweating to death! In WestBend there are lots of cute walls that I thought were so fun for pictures including this plant wall which reminded me of the one in Waco at the Silos and this purple "Fort Worth" wall.

Hypnotic Emporium
The dessert places in WestBend were all closed so we went to the Hypnotic Emporium in Mansfield for ice cream to end the day. We come here pretty often and I like it because they have dairy free options so I'm able to get ice cream as well. I got a cherry lime sorbet cone with sprinkles on top which was so refreshing after our day in the sun.

DFW girlies, where are your favorite places to eat in Fort Worth?

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

TJ Maxx Dressing Room Try On!

I did some more shopping but honestly are you surprised? My Step mom, MB and I went to TJ Maxx in search of some Lilly Pulitzer at a good price and I hit the jackpot! And I took pictures in the dressing room to do another try on!

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my  Spring Break Recap post  I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day. And don't forget you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

Trend Tracking: Western T Shirts

Western and country style has been emerging more within the trendy side of the fashion world recently. Being from Texas, I think it's kind of fun.  Along with bright colored cowboy boots and cow print, you can find many popular fashion influencers wearing western-inspired graphic tees. Today I have rounded up some of my favorites that are all under $40.   YeeHaw T Shirt Wrangler T Shirt //  Cowboy T Shirt //  Cowgirl T Shirt //  Stay Wild T Shirt //  Let's Go Girls T Shirt //  Wild West T Shirt Shilo
