My Favorite Striped Shorts + Two Ways I Style Them

I spotted theses shorts in Francesca's the other day and knew I had to have them. They are a very loose, comfortable fit that will keep you cool and the colors are so fun. Since purchasing them I have found two ways I really like to wear them. They're both casual looks, one is just more put together and the other is a throw on and go type look.

Look 1:

Compared to the other look, this one is a bit more dressy but can still be worn as an everyday outfit. I paired my Francesca's shorts with a ruffle tank from H&M, my favorite pink tassel earrings, and my platform sandals from Walmart which were by far my best purchase of the summer! For accessories I wore my favorite gold jewelry and pinned back my hair with a pearl hair clip.

Look 2:

This look is a more casual, lounge around way of wearing these shorts. My tee is from Old Navy and I love that it's the same blue as the stripes in the shorts and the ruffle sleeves add a little girly touch to the outfit. For shoes I am wearing a pair of white strappy sandals which are super comfortable and I finished off the look with my favorite silver jewelry.

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

A Day at Crocodile Encounters

In my Spring Break Recap post I mentioned going to a petting zoo and that I wanted to do a post about the adventure and that's what I am sharing with you today! The petting zoo was actually an alligator petting zoo that had other animals as well. The place was called Crocodile Encounters and it's near Houston. I must say that it was a bit sketchy (it was in some one's backyard!!) and I was a little bit nervous going in but it was a ton of fun! When you get there you enter through the gift shop where you can buy crocodile food that you can throw to them and lettuce you can feed to all of the other animals so we bought some to feed the animals. We didn't spend but a couple of hours there because this pale girl was quickly burning and I didn't want to be the color of a lobster the next day.
