I have been so busy since I last posted in August! The school year is in full swing and I have been working every day I'm not at school. I feel like I finally have everything under control and can give attention to my blog once again. I wanted to catch y'all up on where I've been before I go back to my regular posts.  I started a new job at the Impeccable Pig in Dallas! I worked at Loft for two weeks before I started here and was miserable. I really did not like working there so it was an answer to my prayers when I got a call asking if I was still interested in work at Impeccable Pig.  I haven't done a A Day In Dallas post in a long time but I decided it's time to rename it A Day in DFW. I'm in college and my friends and I love to try out new places to eat and shop all across the DFW metro area and I think it would be fun to share the places we find outside of Dallas too.  Today I am sharing about a restaurant in Grand Prairie called Firehouse Gastro Park. My college bestie, Jeanna, just moved back to Dallas for the start of the new school year and I haven't seen her since spring break so we went to dinner here to catch up! I saw this restaurant on a few of my friends' instagrams and I knew we had to try it out.

Today I'm sharing a little collective clothing haul video and talking about all the new clothing items I have picked up in the past month. 

Printed mini skirts are everywhere currently and I think they are the cutest thing! I have quite a few in my cart right now and I can't decide which ones I want to order. Today I have rounded up 15 printed skirts that would be so cute on you if you love the trend as much as I do. So many retailers have joined in on the trend that I have found skirts for everyone's price range!

I spotted theses shorts in Francesca's the other day and knew I had to have them. They are a very loose, comfortable fit that will keep you cool and the colors are so fun. Since purchasing them I have found two ways I really like to wear them. They're both casual looks, one is just more put together and the other is a throw on and go type look.

I have been quarantining since the first week of March and just like everyone else I am starting to get tired of being at home. A couple of weeks ago my mom, sister, brother, and I ventured out into Fort Worth for the day. The town we live in is in such a great spot because it's almost equal distance from both Dallas and Fort Worth so it's easy for us to have fun day adventures in DFW.  Fort Worth Zoo My sister had the brilliant idea for us to go to the zoo for the day. I haven't been to the zoo in years and we had a great time. We scheduled our appointment for 9:00 am which is when it opens so the zoo wasn't super crowded and we got to take our time looking at all the animals without being bothered which was nice. I think it's safe to say we all had a really good time! My favorite part of the Fort Worth zoo has to be the white tigers, I think they are so cool! Exciting news: I got a job! I now work at Francesca's and I absolutely love it. I had never purchased anything at Fran's until I got the job and I'm just now realizing how cute their clothes are. My sister and I did a little bit of summer shopping in there the other day and I picked up these two gorgeous dresses.  Sadly, neither one of these dresses are available for purchase on their website anymore but I would still check in your local boutique, I know ours still has quite a few of both of them in stock. The good news is, new arrivals are 60% off online right now so you can find lots of other exciting items! I fell in love with this dress when it first came to the boutique. I love the straps that tie in a bow, the color palette, and the fun hem. This dress can definitely be worn a ton of different ways.
